Previously on The Solo Show...

3rd Wards last solo show winners were collaborative duo Nate Green and Owen Shoppe. Their show Vertigoes, consisting of two whole-room-sized carnival rides (a see-saw powered carousel to be exact) was called a source of "gnarly magical result" by the [Village] Voice Choice column. Nate and Owen managed to take kinetic sculpture to a new realm, transforming 3rd Ward's front gallery space into a dizzyingly lit cacophonous playground for overgrown kids with tight pants and beards. The Vertigoes opening saw a crowd of roughly 300 people, that number growing over the next months as the show stayed installed - and interactive - at 3rd Ward
