3rd Ward's Education Policy
Classes are added on a monthly basis. Please check this website or come by 3rd Ward for up to date course information. Advanced Registration is necessary. Please call (718) 715 4961 or enroll via the PayPal buttons to reserve a seat. Instructors, class times, and class dates are subject to change. If a change is made students will be contacted individually.
Registration & Cancellation -
To register for a class, students must provide a valid credit card or pay in full via PayPal. In the event a student must withdraw from a class, he or she may do so any time before the registration deadline of the class, and be charged a 25% of class cost (minus equipment cost) withdrawal fee. Any withdrawals after the class registration deadline will result in the full cost of the class being charged to the student. If a student wishes to pay in cash, he or she must pay for the class in full before they are considered registered. Absenteeism does not constitute cancellation. Course fees are not refundable or transferable. There will be no exceptions.
Equipment Fees -
Classes which make use of tools or supplies will most likely require an equipment fee. This does not pay for the materials students will need to complete their personal course work, but rather it pays for in-class consumable items (drill bits, dvds, paint, screens) and the upkeep of tools used for that specific class (saw sharpening, tool repair, welding tips, software updates).
Unlimited Memberships -
I Heart Brooklyn (IHB) Gold members are able to enroll in an unlimited number of classes for free for the duration of their membership. To sign up for classes, these members must call the front desk or enroll in person before the registration deadline. IHB Gold members are required to pay any equipment fees associated with a class at registration. Withdrawal policies are the same for IHB Gold members as for Classic Members and Non-Members: 25% of course cost (member rate) cancellation fee if an IHB Gold member cancels before the registration deadline, full course cost (member rate) cancellation fee if an IHB Gold member cancels on or after the registration deadline. IHB Members are required to attend the classes they enroll in. Absence from the first, or majority of classes will result in the full cost of the course being charged to the member.
If We Cancel a Class -
Most classes offered at 3rd Ward must have a minimum of (5) students registered in order for the class to commence. In the event a course does not receive sufficient enrollment, it may be cancelled. Students will be notified at least 48 hours prior to the start of the class if it is cancelled and students will not be charged.
