What is Physical Computing?

Have you heard of the term physical computing?  Ever wondered how to make and control a giant cube of LED lights, a custom controller for your VJ or DJ application or a solar powered robot that chases the sun? 

Join us for an evening of eye opening demystification and enlightenment.  We'll survey the varied world of physical computing and turn you on to its exciting and near limitless potential.


Instructor

Michael Doherty is a graduate of UCLA's Design and Media Arts program where he studied under Casey Reas, one of the co-creators of Processing. He has worked with various design agencies, including Diller + Scofidio and Renfro where he recently designed and programmed a dynamic video installation for the Cartier Institution in Paris.
