Tool Sharpening

One of the most important skills a woodworker can acquire is the ability to sharpen tools easily and well. Working with hand tools can be a frustrating experience unless you have sharp tools.

Learn how to hone your chisels, plane blades, and other cutting tools using simple, repeatable, classic freehand technique that can be applied to any sharpening system. During the class we will use the "scary sharp" method which uses easy to replace micro abrasive sheets. The same sharpening techniques can be applied to water and oil stones, should you choose to make the investment. We'll send you home with hands on experience and a set of your own abrasive sheets.
