Textile Design: Hand Printing Methods

Create a collection of textiles using various hands-on techniques such wood block prints and wax resists. 

Please bring in a notebook with any writings, images, or scraps of interesting materials that you would like to incorporate or draw inspiration from.

Instructor
Joanne Sherrow is a textile and graphic designer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her clients include Victoria's Secret, Calvin Klein, Anthropologie, Seamen Schepps, and Liz Claiborne. Joanne teaches Adobe Illustrator for fashion design and digital archiving for artists and collectors at the Fashion Institute of Technology and fashion digital studio classes in Parsons School of Design's undergraduate fashion department. Joanne has also been involved in recording and performing experimental electronic music with the bands Confetti System and Tic-tac-oh. She has her BS from Pennsylvania State University and her AAS from the Fashion Institute of Technology. http://www.funkyjewels.com/
