New Materials for Screenprinting

Mastered the screenprinting class? Extend your new found skills by learning how to utilize glues, binders, and other new materials. We'll experiment with a variety of screenprinting methods in conjunction with heat. We will also work with colored paints, metallic foil, and flock.

Time in this class will be spent experimenting. Since you already know the techniques to make a print, we will focus on expanding your creativity in this medium. Many materials will be provided, and you will also get sourcing info and ideas on how to execute the projects you’ve been dreaming of.

Bring screens you’ve already prepared, or anything you'd like to print with. Also bring surfaces to experiment on: fabric, wood, paper, anything that will fit under the screen. We will also be using the heat press and irons so please stay away from anything that could melt.
