Machine Knitting 101

In this beginner course each individual will make their own personalized bag using a professional knitting machine. The course is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamentals of machine knitting and introduce them to a faster more modern way to knit. No prior knowledge of knitting is necessary.

By the end of the course, each student will walk away with a bag of their own making and will have learned: machine mechanics, casting on/off, how to make hems, linking, hand finishing techniques, and color changing.

Knitting does not have to be a long-term commitment. After mastering the basics of the machine, the possibility of knitting scarves, bags, and sweaters can be accomplished within a day!
