Intro to Weaving
In this workshop you will work on a pre-dressed, 4-harness loom to learn the basic techniques of weaving through the standard structures: plain weave, basket weave and twill. You’ll also learn what any of that even means.
The part of the workshop will be spent on instruction for basic technique, parts of the loom and terminology—and then onto weaving. By the end of the session, you will have created your own project!
Participants will be supplied with a wide range of colors and textured yarns to explore in their designs. However, if you have your own materials you would like to work with, you are welcome to bring them. No weaving experience necessary.
