3rd Ward is a multi-arts mega space for creative professionals located at 195 Morgan Avenue in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are committed to helping artists further their careers and creative projects by providing professional photo studios, a wood shop, a metal shop, a digital media lab, office space and a multi-disciplinary continuing art education program.
3rd Ward members have access to all of our facilities from 8 am to midnight Monday-Friday and 9 am to midnight Saturday & Sunday.

THE AWARD:
The top photographer, as selected by our judges: New York Times Photo Editor Patrick Witty, Supermodel and Fashion Icon Tiiu Kuik, and NYC Gallerist David Kesting, will be featured in a massive scale public photo show projected onto buildings throughout the top art neighborhoods in NYC. The winner will also have their work presented at the Leo Kesting Gallery in the Meat Packing District and will receive: $2,008 cash, a full-press promotional campaign, and a feature in our upcoming publication, The Annual. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere for the creative artist with big ideas. Our office spaces come with high-speed internet and printing capabilities (including professional photo printers) and access to our professional Photo Studio and Wood and Metal Shops.
Bench spaces are in our fully rigged Wood Shop and Metal Fabrication facility. Designed for everything from sculptors to furniture builders to conceptual artists, our shop space is perfect for any project, big or small.
Whatever space you choose, you'll gain access to a huge curriculum of amazing classes and workshops. There's nothing like ending a hard day's work with a free lesson on circuit bending or a good 'ol fashioned drink-n-draw.
